Andrew Hendryx is the mandolinist and co-founder of the Grammy-balloted band Yarn. Often veering away from fast torrents of notes, Andrew’s melodic phrasing and soaring solos have been featured on NPR, CNN, PBS, CMT, and Rolling Stone’s download of the day.

As a nationally touring artist Andrew has performed at major music festivals, theaters, and rock clubs across the country. Drawn to the beautiful mandolin playing on recordings by The Band, Led Zeppelin, Elton John and The Grateful Dead, Andrew’s musical voice is a synthesis of wide ranging musical tastes and strengthened by his frequent collaboration with renowned artists including members of Phish, Hall & Oates, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Yonder Mountain String Band, Railroad Earth, Levon Helm Band, Parliament Funkadelic, Alice Cooper, Cage the Elephant, Guster, Umphrey's Mcgee, Dark Star Orchestra, Leftover Salmon, Mountain Heart, Infamous Stringdusters, Frank Solivan & The Dirty Kitchen, Dangermuffin, Whiskeytown, Warren Haynes Band, Dickie Betts Band, Edie Brickell, Perpetual Groove, God Street Wine, Moe., Donna The Buffalo, and bluegrass legends Sam Bush and Tony Trischka.

Andrew is excited to announce the completion of his first solo album. Recorded in a beautiful church in Massachusetts, the self titled recording features members of Rubblebucket, Railroad Earth, Sons of Bill, Yarn, Max Creek, Town Mountain and Mandolin Orange.

He is currently in the studio with his band MandoSaxTronic recording with producer Paul Buck.
